I mentioned this before but Del Shannon also wrote I Go To Pieces.  The Searchers passed on recording it but Peter and Gordon had a top ten hit with it in late 1964...

Seeing The Crickets backing The Everlys reminds me that after we lost Buddy Holly, several singers tried to fill the void.  One of them was Tommy Roe singing Sheila...

Kev, I didn't know that until 1988 when Past Masters Volume 2 was released on CD.  I turned off the left channel on my stereo to hear what they were singing as back-up vocals...and there it was!   ;D
