John Lennon's love for Bermuda to be celebrated with CD, tribute concert in June

In his later years, John Lennon became very fond of Bermuda. Lennon traveled to the island in 1980 and wrote some of his last songs, including "Woman" and "Watching the Wheels," there. The island nation has several events planned June 21 to commemorate Lennon's time there, according to Tony Brannon, who is coordinating the events. The highlight is the release of a tribute CD featuring both Beatles and Lennon songs. Among the artists to appear are Maxi Priest, Bailey Outerbridge (who contributes her version of "Revolution"), Paul Carrack, Nils Lofgren, Heather Nova, Rebecca Faulkenberry and Nic Christopher, Judie Tzuke, Chewstick, Rhino’s Express (Status Quo), Mia Chambray, Rachel Brown and Biggie Irie. The CD is being produced by Ride the Wave charitable group.
