Which of the above movies do you like best?

I love Help! Everytime I watch it I notice something new. It always makes me laugh.  :)

A Hard Day's Night captures the spirit of the Beatles & Beatlemania itself back in 64 in all its glory.

Let it be is not on your list.  More of a docudrama but a hard day's night would be my choice here.

I adore 'A Hard Days Night". I have lost track of the number of times I've watched that! It is just so classic and takes you back to Beatle Mania at its height (so younger fans like myself can experience that). Help is also good for a laugh, but I prefer AHDN.

AHDN is classic cinema and groundbreaking in its use of handheld cameras and the faux reality of their lives.  A fake documentary if you will.

The movie just conveys the joy of youth and music and the Beatles so well.

MMT is the dregs, followed by LIB.  Yellow Submarine is great, original animation and stands on its own even without a lot of Beatle input.  Help! is very good as well but compared to AHDN a lesser effort.

Still, fun Beatley stuff!

Voted for 'a hard day's night'...the thing i don't like in yellow submarine is that they didn't even let the beatles do their own voices ::)

Does anyone know if AHDN is still available on video, or whether you can only buy it on DVD now? Are there extras on the DVD editions? Can you still purchase MMT and Yellow Sub, LIB?

There are extras on the DVD's but the only deleted scenes available are "You Can't Do That" from AHDN and "Hey Bull Dog" from YS (this was deleted on most versions of the film).

There are some great featurettes on the DVDs though. Help!, MMT and LIB are not available on DVD as yet although Help! and MMT should still be available on VHS which features trailers from the film.

It wasn't that "they" didn't "let" the Beatles use their own voices. "They" would've given their eye-teeth for real Beatle voices.

It was the Beatles themselves that didn't want anything to do with the film. It was a "contractual obligation" thing. Later, when they saw what a quality job the animators had done, the Fabs agreed to do the film sequence at the end, and be more visibly associated with the film.

I wonder if it would have been possible (when they were all alive of corse) for them to make a version with there voices. they could have put it out as a collectors item or something.
