The forecast for Tuesday night is 14 below 0 (F). Brrrr! This must be the only state where people check the weather forecast before filling up on gas. I know I sure don't want to be outside for even a minute in those kind of temperatures, especially when the wind is factored in.
It's cold. It's a cold place.
But seriously, that is tough to deal with. I actually decided not to fill my car up when I was shopping last night because, as usual, I didn't have any gloves. I guess that was pretty wimpy, considering what NoDakers have going on. It's going to start warming up tomorrow and be close to 50 by Tuesday but then we are also dropping overnight. I hope the warm temps and rain take care of the bumpy ice on our back steps. They are brick so we can't use anything but sand on them and there's been very little in the way of sunshine.
That, Kelley, was exactly my situation. My older daughter was home for only about 36 hours, but at least we were able to have Thanksgiving dinner together.
I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and that the storm doesn't get too bad! I have to work tonight and am concerned about what conditions will be like on my drive home.
I just saw this, Kathy. We did have a nice Thanksgiving. It's been a long time since I've had a crowd to cook for. There were 10 all together, enough for two tables. It's a good thing Kelsie went back when she did. Ithaca got a lot more snow than we did. There was a rare closing of Cornell on Monday so she had the day off.
