I visited the other game today to compare their results with ours. The most popular songs are very close, particularly if you include the top 4, except for a few albums-- Help! and Revolver. Very interesting. However, I'm sure if you ran this game immediately after completing this one, you'd get different results. I know I'm influenced by my "song of the moment", and I think others are as well.

It's really cool to have this snapshot into Beatles popularity. I'm glad we have young participants as well; it makes me happy to see the Beatles being appreciated 40 years after the fact. Thanks for hosting this game!

Yes, the difference between our results for Revolver, and their's was immense. They are a smaller community of course, I think our average vote (21) is about 50% higher than their's. And I've seen our results change with the last stragglers on Saturday night.

I'm sure we'd get different results if we did it again, but then most of the people voting would probably be different a year from now.

I dont think the average vote gap is as large as that. i think we're running at about 15 average now its got going but im not 100% on that. but definately a younger audience and that affects the choices i think. younger peorple tend to go for the less obscure stuff which may be a reflection of not owning all the albums yet

Not sure about the younger audience thing. We have a lot of youngsters here. It's a funny mix really; quite a few under 25's, the youngest being 13. Hardly anyone in their 30's, then a lot of us old fogies over 40! The oldest, as far as I can see is 54. So it's a bit of a strange mix. But that's forum's for you. Could all change next month!

Just letting you all know in advance, that when it comes to Past Masters Vol. 2, the following songs will be left out:

Get Back
Across The Universe

They all appear on Let It Be, but are all either different mixes, or different recordings of the same song. This is to avoid having two versions of the same song in the final round. I don't think there's anywhere near enough difference between Get Back as a single, for instance, and the version on Let It Be.

Let me know if you have any probs with this, and we can discuss it.
