Beatles will release new album to mark opening of Las Vegas extravaganza

An album by the Beatles featuring "completely new music" is in production and will be released to coincide with the first authorised theatrical show of the group's work.

Hmmmmm - it'll be interesting to see what 'new' Beatle album they issue, I suspect it'll be re-mixed as per the Yellow Submarine SONGtrack.

I must admit, the idea of paying $134 to see acrobats swinging in time to Hey Jude leaves me cold!!

Many of us are waiting for that new unknown material that EMI's still got in the vaults ... any other stuff -I'm afraid- won't be exactly new ...

... How about that Carnival Of Light and those other tracks and alternative takes (Helter Skelter and so) ... Anthologies 4, 5 and 6 now!  ;D

I wish they'd make a computer generated Beatles animated movie instead. That'd be cool. And it would introduce them to a whole new generation. Not that every generation doesn't get introduced to them eventually anyway. It'd just be cool to do another Yellow Submarine type thing. I don't know why they're wasting time with the Cirque De Soliel. I'd rather stick needles into my eyes then watch that crap.

A new Beatles movie would be cool, but NOT computer animated. CGI is a slap in the face to all traditional artists. And besides, it won't look as impressive years from now. The lava in Aladdin, the ballroom scene in Beauty and the Beast- these looksed cool in the earlt nineties, but they look pitifully amateurish now. CGI is impressive now; traditional animation is impressive forever.

This is to do with the Cirque du Soleil soundtrack I think - from what I've heard so far, it sounds like George Martin and his son Giles have re-mixed a lot of tracks specially for this.

I was hoping we would get a live album like someone mentioned earlier in the thread. I dont want a C.D. of the same songs remixed again.
