But then again: what is 'gay' about their music? Why is West End Girls a gay song? We can name each and every artist that is gay, but I want to know how I can detect a so called gay song. What is so characteristic on a gay song? Some kind of sound? A special rhythm?

just the sound of all Pet Shop Boys songs, that's a definition. Well, it's mine. ;D

Take That?? Why? ::)

Take a look at the video 'Could it be magic.'

Their first appearances were in gay  cluybs....There is an early clip of them camping up in a poor dance routine on some Irish chat show. Way back in 94 or something like that. Highly popular with the 'gay' scene apparantly. You can see why.

Awesome pics, though I would like to see a little more "flat-top" effect.

Actually, it reminds me of an episode from the Simpsons.

It's a flashback episode in which Mother Simpson (Mona) is talking to Abe about how cute sleeping toddler Homer.  Grampa's busing watching the Colts vs. Jets Superbowl.

Mona: "Abe, isn't Homer cute?"

Grampa: "Probably. I'm trying to watch the Super Bowl. If people don't support this thing, it might not make it."

Howard Cosell: "Joe Willy Namath, swaggering off the field, his sideburns an apogee of sculpted sartorium. The foppish follicles pioneered by Ambrose Burnside, Appomattox 1865."

Mona: "His wild, untamed facial hair revealed a new world of rebellion, of change. A world where doors were open for women like me, but Abe was stuck in his button down plastic fantastic Madison Avenue scene."

Grampa: "Look at them sideburns! He looks like a girl. Now, Johnny Unitas, there's a haircut you could set your watch to."

I'm sure Abe would say the same thing about the Beatles.

Here's Johnny U in his flat-top prime--set your watches:

I never realized Rob Halford was gay, though it was rumored, until he came out. I just thought he was another leather-studded heavy metal God.
