Red Rose Speedway

Do you think that the cover picture showing Paul with a red rose in his mouth might be in response to the Paul is dead controversy that was still raging at the time? The clue on Magical Mystery Tour has him with a black rose on his lapel signifying his death. The picture itself makes very little sense otherwise. Just thinkin'!
