Cant help thinking that 1967 was the Beatles ultimate year when everything came
together and they could do no wrong.
Of course it was the summer of love ( and LSD )
A massive incredible album released on June 1st ...Sg Pepper
A 6 track double EP released December .................... Magical Mystery Tour.
The music on the EP was so good, I feel they should have added say
6 more tracks and made Magical Mystery Tour into an LP...
a nice big cover opening up .....with all the goodies and cartoon work.... wow !
That would have been two awesome LPs in one year
1 Magical Mystery Tour
2. "The Fool on the Hill"
3. "Flying"
4. "Blue Jay Way"
5. "Your Mother Should Know"
6. "I Am the Walrus"
with those fab songs you ve got the backbone of a really great concept LP
somehow, being an EP it does nt have the same impact.
I suppose Brian's death in August 67 put the dampers on everything, strange
he should go just when the Beatles were at their fabulous best.
