I just heard Something from the Abbey Road box set. Billy Preston really comes through and I didn’t even realize he played on this. I had to look it up to make sure I wasn’t imagining things.

We were able to get rid of our can opener Kelley as cans now have ring pull lids  ha2ha

A lot of them do here, Kev but not all of them. I do live in the boonies after all! Did you know that can openers weren’t invented until long after cans? When I about that it really blew my mind. I’d never even considered such a thing. LOL

That’s true. I did find some can without a ring pull once and spent half an hour trying to find some old can opener pushed to the back of the cupboard.

That might be one time the exaggerated difficulties in performing everyday chores as portrayed in informercials might have been accurate. People breaking their fingers bashing cans on rocks. Cutting their own legs off trying to open cans with an axe..... “Now no longer. We present The magical Can Opener.... Opens cans as easily as taking off a lid! No more lost limbs. Buy now and get two more half price!”

I didn’t know he did either. I knew he was on a bit of I Want You but that was it for Abbey Road.

Seems like all I listen to nowadays are Spotify, Pandora and You Tube.  I miss the days of physical products, especially vinyl.  But I just don't live in an environment that is acoustical or which allows for music to be played loudly (an apartment).

Yeah, I'd like to buy the physical set of the remixed Abbey Road but probably won't.

Oh well, such is life (Wah-Wah!).

Hello:  Thanks.  I've been price shopping on Amazon.  These are mostly expensive along with similar types of headphones at that level.

I've never liked the feel of this type.  Ones I've owned usually kind of wear on your tolerance level whereas lightweight skinny phones don't.

We'll see.  I'm sorely tempted to buy these.

Loco, I've had that set of headphones for the past six years.  They're light weight and comfortable.  Noise-cancelling is excellent and they're capable of wireless reception as well so you wouldn't be tethered to your amplifier.

That's an excellent price for a set of professional headphones with those capabilities.

I just bought a pair of Bose QC35
Bluetooth, noise cancelling. Very happy with them for the price.
Go to a store and listen to a few, compare which you like best.

I tried a few, these were my favourites. The bass response is lovely, I'm flying to Vegas soon for the start of my USA/ Canada holiday so they will be good on the flights, noise cancelling is required on an aircraft.

Hmm...I wonder if mine are noise cancelling? My son bought them to use on the flights when he was working in Puerto Rico. Now he has this other pair that he uses more often so he gave these to me. I love the sound and having bluetooth is great.

Kelley, all headphones with the pictured type of gel ear cups are "noise cancelling" also termed "Passive Noise Cancelling."  Kev's Bose QC35 headphones are "Active Noise Cancelling" as they provide an adjustable electronic opposing signal that cancels ambient noise.

Look for an "ANC" switch or knob on your headphones to see if it's Active Noise Cancelling.  Unless you listen to music in a noisy environment, Passive Noise Cancelling is adequate.  That's why Professional Studio Monitor Headphones such as my Audio-Technica headphones, have Passive Noise Cancelling.

Thanks, Kev, but there’s no switch, so no high-powered cancelling I guess.  ;D It doesn’t really matter. But they are Bose, the same brand I bought 7 years ago, only they’re bluetooth. The TV we bought last Christmas works with them. It’s quite handy!

I just listened to the remix of Oh Darling and an alternate take.

It sounds good but it's not a song I ever liked.

This is all Paul.  No wonder the Beatles split.  This is not a Beatles song to me at all.

I like the Take 4 version of Oh Darling more than the actual album version.

Paul's really an amazing vocalist.  That voice of his is a genuine musical instrument.

Right.  That's the version that should have been in Abbey Road...

Wow, I dont even like that 4th take.  Pauls voice sounded shaky and flat to me at spots.
