Billy Bragg--Punk Folk
« on: June 28, 2006, 06:37:32 AM »

After seeing Billy Bragg perform quite some time ago on Late Night With Conan O'Brian I finally got around to downloading some of his songs. I downloaded New England, To Have And Have Not, Remember The Mountain, and The Brightest Bulb Has Burned Out. He's really cool. I like him because he's like Bob Dylan meets The Sex Pistols, and like them, he's not perfect in his style. I can really identify with almost everything about him. His lyrics, his guitar style, his voice. I really think he'll go on to be one of my favorites.

I got rid of Remember The Mountain just now. I've decided, as long as I  love Woody Guthrie, that I don't want any Billy Bragg material that he didn't write the lyrics to himself.
