My fantasy setlist for Paul
« on: March 16, 2011, 07:24:08 AM »

I'd dish out the cash for this.

1. Take It Away
2. Juniors Farm
3. Smile Away
4. Too Much Rain
5. Winedark Open Sea
6. Every Night
7. Not Such A Bad Boy
8. Spirits Of Ancient Egypt
9. Stranglehold
10. Old Siam Sir
11. The Pound Is Sinking
12. Rinse The Raindrops
13. Somedays
14. Single Pigeon
15. Somebody Who Cares
16. Treat Her Gently/Lonely Old People
17. Good Times Coming/Feel The Sun
18. Spies Like Us
19. Cafe On The Left Bank
20. No Values
21. Beware My Love
22. Put It There
23. After The Ball/Million Miles
24. Lunch Box/Odd Sox
25. The Back Seat Of My Car

Encore:
26. Getting Closer
27. Helen Wheels
28. Beautiful Night

I dont think I went too obscure. I think its a nice blend. Some known tunes with some that arent so well known.

After the Ball/Million Miles

Paul McCartney & Wings -Lunch Box Odd Sox (1975)

I always liked LBOS although its a jam. It was on the B-Side to the 'Coming Up' single. Actaully I think the live version of 'Coming Up' was the B-Side to the studio version with LBOS right after it if I remember correctly.

What's wrong with a slow song and an instrumental? Nothing. It's his proposed setlist, not yours. Excellent mix btw tkitna  :)

What would yours look like then?

Interesting setlist, but zero Beatles?

We discussed in another thread that Paul does too much Beatles, but you are suggesting zero... hmmmm.

Zero Beatles would be refreshing but alas unless a time machine is built to transport us back to 1972-1973 for Wings gigs, there will always be Beatle songs in his setlist.

Oh, I see. Sorry about that BG. I thought 'After The Ball/Million Miles' would fit nicely right after 'Put It There' and 'LBOS' would give the band a nice little jam piece before going into 'Back Seat Of My Car' for the big send off.

Its only my fantasy setlist. I cant think of one Beatle song that I would kill to see Paul play right now. Seriously, not one. I'd much rather see him do the songs I listed.
