Im having a bit of a dispute on another forum
I said the Beatles last ever session together was in January 1970
spose  by that I mean recording...

This other person said it was in Sept 1969  their last ever session at Abbey road.

Am I wrong ?

I think the last ever official Beatles recording session was indeed January 1970 starofwonder.... when George, Paul & Ringo recorded and mixed "I Me Mine". John was on  holiday in Denmark, which must be why the other person doesn't "count" it.

It wasn't in September 1960 for sure. ha2ha

I believe Mr Mustard is right here.
Here's what DM's site says of this date:
Jan 03
Saturday    Studio 2. 2.30pm-12.15am. Recording: `I Me Mine' (takes 1-16). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Phil McDonald; 2nd Engineer: Richard Langham. Last song recorded by the Beatles. During the session, George improvises a version of `Peggy Sue Got Married'.

Amazing to think its 41 years since the Beatles came to an end.

The Stones however never called it a day,
big up to Mick , Keith and the boys for keeping going throughout the decades !
