I bought this expecting another second-rate biography, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. This book told me some new things, especially about his childhood which I didn't know too much about. I'm halfway through it right now. It's written by Chet Flippo and was published in 1988. Check it out, it's a nice little read. (thumbsup)

Thanks...I'm doing some research myself for a possible book on The Beatles and I need information on their childhoods.
