Yoko Ono thanks Bermuda for John Lennon Tribute

John Lennon “loved and was immensely inspired by Bermuda”, and this evening the Island paid tribute to the musician by unveiling a six-foot tall sculpture in the Botanical Gardens.

Bermuda pays homage to John Lennon Thursday with CD and day of events

On Thursday, Bermuda will hold the first of two days of tributes to John Lennon. In 1980, the last year of his life, Bermuda became a place where he could relax and write songs. One of the ways the island is honoring him is through a wonderful four-track EP featuring cover versions of his songs, which was released last week.

THURSDAY, JUNE 21: John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono said that she hoped peace and love would grow in the Bermuda Botanical Gardens as a result of her late husband being honoured there.
