I really hope the volcanic ash dissapears soon... I'm going to a festival this Friday and Saturday which would be a whole lot less fun without the American bands, and a week from now I'm supposed to fly to Morroco... $:-\$

The annoying thing about the whole ash cloud thing is that airlines ARE prepared to fly in it, they just can't be bothered telling everyone because then there'll be a massive rush and they'll have more work to do. One of my mum's employees got stuck in Tenerife last week, and they said they couldn't get her back until the 29th, which is really inconvenient because she needs to work. She asked if they could get her back any sooner if she paid any more money, and the greedy bastards said "of course, if you pay us more, we can get you back on the 24th instead!" But it's cost her £600 for them to be bothered actually making an effort to help her... so some airlines ARE prepared to fly this week, they just won't do it unless you pay through the nose. This woman's had to scrape half her earnings together just to get home to go back to work! $:-\$

All Dutch travellers that are currently stuck in Barcelona and flying with Ryanair were told today that they won't be able to fly back home until May 3rd. That's almost two weeks from now. That's just insane.

Thanks for this Joost...I am due to book someone on a flight to meet us in Holland this Sunday but I am now getting really worried about the practicality of getting back if we even get out at all. Some flights in Scotland flying above 20,000ft are flying again but now the ban has been extended till tomorrow by the EU. $:-\$

I was trying to describe a certain singer last night and all I could say was that her voice is like a combination of cotton candy and a wispy cloud that you love to look at but can't touch. Eh, describing music is weird.
