I cannot believe how much harder it is to have a marriage declared invalid than it is to get a civil divorce. My stack of papers is twice as high already, and I'm only 3 months in and looking at another 18 months at least. Incredible. (Not that I'm objecting -- it should be hard.) I didn't even want this!

On a related note, the other day I was watching an episode of Twilight Zone ("The Little People") in which one character calls another a "grousing malcontent." (I love Rod Serling.) Maybe I should change my user name.  ha2ha

Yeah, if I had to chose one over the other it would be the 60's. But I'll take now over anything because I can still enjoy lots of things from the 60's and also hang on to some people I love who would not be here without today's medical advances. It's a win/win situation!

Made a big "mom" mistake: Bought a bath puff for my son to bring to Scout camp. (It was black and dark green!) You would have thought I'd presented him with a maribou-trimmed negligee, for goodness' sake. The look on his face was priceless. Then I remembered I'd made the exact same mistake last year!  ha2ha

Maybe next year you should go with the maribou-trimmed negligee. That would make the bath puff seem a lot better! I probably already told this story but it reminds me of a young man who was at camp with my son. We were sitting with him and his mom at the closing day cookout and she casually asked him if he had all his dirty clothes packed up. Well, he shouted "MOM!" as he jumped up and stormed away. She looked stricken and said, "It's been like this ever since he turned 13." I could only figure is that she came dangerously close to mentioning his underwear.

She, like me, must not have been used to boys. I never had a brother or close male relative/friend growing up, so I've made a lot of mistakes with my little guy, especially since he turned 12/13. (I probably would have mentioned his underwear.) Poor kid.

I used to have a bunch of this stuff; I bought it for my honeymoon... after 3 kids, that ship sailed pretty fast.  ha2ha

That's why I said you'll have to go looking for yourself! Most of the pictures have something other than a dress form or hanger in them. ;)
