I would hesitate between Let it Be and Abbey Road.. Both came out short (and a bit past) my 13 years BD… and I rediscovered Abbey Road a few years later, when as an older teenager, I realized there was a B side to it. Both were albums that I consciously remember the sleeve showing up in record stores, under the arms of older friends walking around and such, at the specific time of their release. My memories of the White Album and Sergeant Pepper’s are somewhat more sketchy than those of Rubber Soul, for instance (perhaps because beatlemania more or less peaked around 1966-1967).
