What are the chances of Paul making changes to his set list for this tour, do you think?
Since Macca is playing the Hollywood Bowl, I am expecting him to do the Venus & Mars/Rockshow/Jet as an opener."Rock and roll at the Hollywood Bowl!"
This is a consistent topic at Macca's official board.I think more serious Paul fans would like him to mix things up (and I'm in agreement), but who are the majority of his concert-goers? Are they just casual Beatles fans? I swear to God I've read complaints from "fans" on the Internet who b**** and moan about Paul playing too many songs they don't recognize (Wings/solo), so they get bored. I think these people tend to get the most excited when they hear old classics they do know.
I sort of sense and have a bad feeling about why the he has stuck to certain songs over the years when the he will not play songs from 66 and earlier.Just a gut feeling and I do believe I know the answer and not mention why.Daveyo
Do you really have to bring up the Paul is Dead stuff here as well? And like Tamara said.. "Yesterday", "I Saw Her Standing There", "I'll Follow The Sun", "Drive My Car", "I Wanna Be Your Man", "I've Just Seen A Face", "Can't Buy Me Love", etc.All pre 66 songs I've seen footage of him perform within the last ten or so years.
Early reports from McCartney's opening gig in Phoenix tonight's indicates that he has made drastic changes to his set list thank god. Opening song was Venus & Mars. Another new song is 1985. More soon.
