Agreed! We at the library may smile and say “Of course I’ll show you how to borrow ebooks” but inside we’re saying “No!! We’re getting lonely here and the publishers are ripping us off!” Really...they charge us way more than a person would have to pay at Audible for the same thing.

I hope you get to go there some day, Kathy. I haven’t traveled much but we did go there when I was eleven. My brother was stationed at Pearl Harbor. I have nothing but wonderful memories of that trip.

Thanks, Kevin and Kelley! My father raved about the trip.

Kelley, I sure hope your brother survived the attacks on Pearl Harbor. My dad and his wife wanted to see the memorial, but they didn't buy tickets ahead of time, and the wait for people who didn't call ahead for a reservation was 4 1/2 hours! Ugh. So they missed it because my dad is 82 and I'm not sure he would have done too well in that kind of heat with such a long wait. I know I myself would have keeled over about an hour in. It's too bad because he's a veteran himself. He was going to say something but didn't want to look like he was trying to pull rank.

I have always wanted to see the Hawaiian islands. Maybe someday! In the meantime, we're expecting more snow Wednesday through Friday. I normally love snow, but now I'm getting cranky.

Kevin, you'll have to be sure to share your experiences and pics!

Aww! I don’t know if 6 year old me saw this particular performance but I certainly remember seeing them on TV lots of times. They were great! “Up, Up and Away” was my favorite. I often pondered the possibility of becoming airborne when someone would give me a balloon.

The 5th Dimension was great, alright!  They had so many hits during the late 60s and early 70s.  I especially liked their covers of Laura Nyro's Stone Soul Picnic, Sweet Blindness and Wedding Bell Blues.

The Mamas & the Papas didn't really get anywhere with Go Where You Wanna Go in 1965...
