Ten Years...
« on: November 28, 2011, 09:46:44 PM »

...since he left us.   RIP man.

George has become my favorite Beatle over the last few months.  Not sure why but its cool.   Does this mean that in 30 more years Ringo will assume that mantle?  ;)

George was the nicest Beatle for me, not my favourite musically, but I dont think he had any ego at all unlike the others, I also credit him with thinking on a deeper plain than the others, there was no horsesh*t from George..

George has always been my favorite, ever since I first saw him on The Ed Sullivan Show playing that Gretsch Country Gentleman...

It took twenty-five years, but I finally found my own 1963 Country Gent...

I miss him.

Thanks, Kevin.  I should really update that picture and have the Country Gent propped up against my VOX AC30.

Look what an impact this man had on me!

I really should get one of those Kevin.  When I take a break, I always put the guitar back in its case.

Beautiful sentiment Hombre. George's spirituality has really had a big impact on my life and I love him for it.

I wish this was available with better quality. If you watch it on YouTube the rest of it comes up on the sidebar.

I think that "Within You Without You" may be the most spiritual song ever, at least by a supposedly non-religious artist.

Is this a legitimate signature of George's?

I think that "Within You Without You" may be the most spiritual song ever, at least by a supposedly non-religious artist.

I've lately been listening to more George Beatles songs as well as a few solo, nothing to do with the anniversary of his death, just naturally started happening this summer.

The one song that really is affecting me right now is My Sweet Lord.  The way he sings and calls out is amazing to me.  I believe he is conflicted with wanting to get to the end of his life here on earth to experience the next step (if one).  His tone and all is sad and happy at the same time, hard for me to explain.
