The first 49 seconds of this clip depict almost exactly how my mornings would go with my own kids. And yes, I have sprayed them with water. Never tipped anyone out of bed, though, but I did get an air horn, which I had to use only once. After that, the threat was enough.  ha2ha

Neil Innes is a very talented musician
He should be really better known imo.

I've had Lunch Player on my desktop for several years, Kev.  I enjoy giving it a listen from time to time.

Yes, Neil Innes should be better known.

He was. Apparently a very nice, interesting guy. The Rutles stuff is really clever.

I wasn't sure where to put this. . . saw the trailer this past weekend. It looks so sweet! Almost enough to restore my faith.  ;)

Was just perusing the reviews of this movie. I see it's rated R for "anatomical accuracy"—whatever the heck that's supposed to mean.  ha2ha

I hadn't been aware George was involved in this. I'm in whole-hearted agreement; music education is so important. I made sure my kids took advantage of the music classes offered.

P.S. Great movie.

From Wikipedia:

Together, Astaire and Powell danced to Porter's "Begin the Beguine", which is considered by many to be one of the greatest tap sequences in film history. According to accounts of the making of this film, including a documentary included on the DVD release, Astaire was somewhat intimidated by Powell, who was considered the only female dancer ever capable of out-dancing Astaire. In his autobiography Steps in Time, Astaire remarked, "She 'put 'em down like a man', no ricky-ticky-sissy stuff with Ellie. She really knocked out a tap dance in a class by herself." In his introduction to the clip, featured in That's Entertainment, Frank Sinatra said, "You know, you can wait around and hope, but I tell ya, you'll never see the likes of this again."

It truly was, Kathy.

Melanie and Leon and this unnamed couple were impressive too...

Maybe Frank Sinatra was wrong when he said "You know, you can wait around and hope, but I tell ya, you'll never see the likes of this again."  We just did.   :)

I think everyone in the country was quite taken by Eleanor Powell and her dancing.  Even The Little Rascals paid homage to her...

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney princess movie. I particularly adore the "Be Our Guest" sequence. Jerry Orbach totally rocks as Lumière especially at 2:55

No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining. . .  :)

Angela Lansbury is pretty awesome as Mrs.Potts, too.
