Menlove Avenue
« on: July 12, 2004, 05:06:55 AM »

This was such a horrid waste.....oh, goodie! Songs that couldn't make the cut for the medicore rock covers album! Oh look demos of Walls and Bridges that are hardly different from their album counterparts, with the difference being that the vocals aren't all that great at times. Yoko really milked the fans here. At least later, we got the phenomenal four disc Anthology box set, rather than have this weak collection of leftovers. "Rock and Roll People" is quite good though...

I think it was good to hear the tracks from the Rock 'n' Roll sessions though.

I really like Menlove Avenue except for one or two of those rock and roll songs.

And I happen to love the Rock and Roll album, though I have to admit it wasn't instant love. It took time, but I adore it.

Well, at least we got the official release of ANGEL BABY.

By the time MENLOVE AVENUE came out I had already heard these versions, having had so many bootlegs. Nice cover, though.

Good to hear the outtakes from Walls And Bridges, specially Nobody Loves You (When You're Down and out) and Bless You.
Here We Go Again and Rock and Roll People are very interesting too.
