The last photographic session
«
on:

Does anybody know what's wrong with an info I have (confused)
I have Beatles pictures from their last photographic session in
August
22d, 1969
http://beatles.murashev.com/pictures.php?category=1&id=353
Today I noticed that these pictures are present on UK single `Get Back / Don't Let Me Down' and US single `The Ballad Of John And Yoko'/`Old Brown Shoe' released earlier in
April
and
May
, 1969.
UK single
http://beatles.murashev.com/disk.php?category=3&id=117
US single
http://beatles.murashev.com/disk.php?category=3&id=118
How it can be?!

I looked in a book a have and found that the original sleeves look different from yours, presented here. I assume the sleeves are re-printed later.

Or they used a time machine.
Really. Bobber found the mistery, they used an other picture on the original single sleeve, and they used this one on the reissued single.

The pictures used on those records are from the 20th Anniversary re-issues and are just photos that represent their image of around period.
Each of The Beatles' UK singles were re-released in the Eighties 20 years to the day and came housed in re-designed sleeves with photos from the appropriate era.
I think there were actually only 2 UK singles ever released in picture sleeves in the 1960's - Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane and Let It Be and the pics on both of those were somewhat out of date too!

I always found it interesting that The Beatles were on their last leg right around when the Woodstock Festival was being held. Woodstock I think was around Aug 12-15. There were only 3 Brit artists there, Joe Cocker, The Who and 10 Years After. What were the Beatles actually doing during that momentous weekend I wonder?
