All of it! It's an awesome movie. (not the remake, yuck) My favorite scenes are when Wendy confronts Jack after reading his 'book', and Jack follows her up the steps. It's hysterical. "Wendy, darling. Light of my life!" Oh and the "Here's Johnny!" scene. The REDRUM REDRUM thing is creepy and the blood rushing out of the elevators. Oh and the twin girls. Jeez, once I get started!!!

Once again, I still say the remake that was done on TV was superior in my opinion. Both were good though. I liked the Shining, but didnt think it was scarey in any way. More disturbing than horror.

I just watched the remake a few days ago. Hated it. The casting was aweful and it just felt like it was a lame tv movie. Kubricks version is a masterpeice. And very creepy. But maybe because it's been around so long people aren't scared by it anymore. I just love it. It's a classic. But I'm in no way putting down your opinion! :D It's all so subjective anyway! Stephen King even hates the original!

I like that movie, deffinetely is one of Stanley Kubrick's best. I hate the freaky twins though.

Ironic I just saw the Simpsons parody of it on tv two night ago. I LOVE the Shining, it's one of my favourite horror movies. I read the book too. Here's something to look out for: notice how when Jack talks to a butler or any other character in the hotel besides his family and the caretaker, that there is always some sort of a reflective surface (ie a mirror) behind the 'person' he is talking too. Like with the butler when he's talking to him in the washroom, there's a mirror behind him. Meaning that Jack is hallucinating and is actually only talking to himself although he may appear to be talking to someone else...it's not really much to look out for but it helps explain the plot more, and I just noticed that the last time I watched it.

Yeah watch out for the lady when she comes out of the bath, that part mortified the socks off me. For me, the worst part is whenever those girls appeared...

Uh, pretty much as soon as he gets the job. He seems a little off to me even before that though! I think in the book they make more of a deal about him abusing his kid or something. It's been a long time since I've read it!!

I love that part, it always cracks me up. Gotta love the Halloween specials. Yeah in the book he does mention more about abusing his kid, all of the Stephen King books that I have read so far are much more graphic than the movies.

I'm used to seeing tonnes and tonnes of snow...but it did look beautiful. Those twins scarred me for life. I knew the quotes before they even said them, I said in a creepy voice 'come play with us' and literaly after I said that they said that in the movie, heh. I have a question...is it the newer or older version that has Jack Nicholson in it? Because the only version I've seen is that one and I'm not sure which one it is. Thanks.

Hallucinations? I don't know. But it's kinda cool. Maybe because of the murders?

They briefly mention it in the original. He pulled his arm or something and broke it I think. It's showing that he's already a little off I think.
