This is newly erected in the brand new Liverpool L1 shopping development recently opened. Costing GBP 1 billion + by private investment of Lord Grosvenor, it is the biggest retail development in Europe and a stones throw from Mathew Street.

Abbey Road Christmas lights last December.

Hoardings around the new 'A hard days night' hotel just before it opened.

A Beatles bus which also advertises other city sights for the tourists.

More building site hoardings with art graffiti, this time depicting the Beatles pepper period.

Lathom Hall, an early venue of the Beatles. I had a snoop around and found these figures.

A team of artists were commissioned from Belfast to spruce up the gable end of this row of houses.

Pretty awsome the only Beatles bits we have in Edinburgh is the John Lennon bench in Princess Street Gardens and in the big HMV Store they have a With The Beatles album cover on the wall as you come up through the escalater from the Games Deparrment.

I strongly support this idea! After all we must come to Liverpool at least once in our life, so why not do it at one and the same time? I suggest 2015. Or maybe earlier? 2012?
