Have you had enough of Bruce Springsteen?

Bruce Springsteen is one of the most overrated artist in rock history because he's an average singer, average songwriter & average musician but he's a great performer which is what his legend is all about.  He wasn't the future of rock & roll as a famous music critic once said while he peaked as an artist with the album Born In The USA & Born To Run is known as his masterpiece & highly overrated it's sickening.  The only album I do like from the Boss is Bruce Springsteen & The E. Street Band Live 75-85 which is a great live album  but it's not in the same leagues as Get Yer Ya Yas Out by the Rolling Stones, Alive by Kiss, Live Bootleg by Aerosmith & Speak Of The Devil by Ozzy Osbourne.

I agree..I cant stand his voice in Born To Run, and that album is highly overrated

Aerosmith is overrated too

Eh, I love Bruce Springsteen. He certainly was no Beatle or Led zeppelin, but he wrote some good lyrics and I like his songs. Bob Dylan has the ugliest voice, but he's sitll revered as one of the best musical artists of all time.

poor Dylan is one of the greatest songwriters...but had a constipated voice,, radio stations used to only play covers of Dylan cause they couldnt understand what the hell he was saying

bruce played in roy orbisions band.
i also heard bruce drives himself in his old pick up truck to his local concerts,comes thru the way you or i would at a show,takes time to sign autographs,pose for pics with fans and plays hard....what a prick......not!!!

 No, I haven't had enough of Bruce Springsteen because I like him. He's an amazing artist and has many very beautiful, moving songs. I don't really agree with this thread for many reasons, but mostly because Sprinsgteen is a revered and acclaimed artist. It shouldn't matter if you're sick of him, don't listen. If it was some talentless hack artist you were disucssing, I'd understand the point of a thread like this (to a degree), but I personally feel his talent is undisputed. I mean, even if you don't like him you have to admit he has some extremely great songs and a very powerful stage presence that resonates to those who listen to his music and go to his concerts.

 Anyway, I don't think Bob Dylan is any more a great songwriter than Bruce. That's right. Blasphemy. He could be described as a more capable lyricist I suppose, but as a songwriter they both have highs that are about even in my book. However, Bob is legendary because he is considered an innovator, and that's defeinitely his due. I enjoy both artists, but I think Springsteen's the Rising is probably one of the most beautiful albums I have ever heard. Ever.

It's so individual [not particularly good, though. >.<;] and he's such a great writer that it works out.

Meh. I'm not sick of Springsteen -- I don't think he's as good as some people'd say, but i'm not sick of 'im yet.

I love Bob's voice because it's so unmistakeable, but boy is it hard to sing along with! I don't think my fourteen-year-old girl voice can go that low on the register! Lol.

Bruce is awesome. I wouldn't put him 27 on the Best Artists of All Time like Rolling Stone did, but then again, what did Rollnig Stone ever do write.

The 50 Best Artists list is just bs. Where the hell is Pink Floyd when Madonna is on the f***in' lsit? Why the hell is U2 20-something and Elvis 3rd?

Why the hell are Led Zeppelin and the Who so high?

f*** Rolling Stone. They used to be cool in the 60s, but now they're just a $4.95 worth of advertising and pretension.
