This song, or version moreover, always reminds me of the time I discovered The Beatles. Sometime in ´93-´94. That soundtrack from the 1988 documentary film was a big influence.

March 7, 1964--The Dave Clark Five bring their Tottenham sound to "The Ed Sullivan Show" for the first time, two weeks after The Beatles made their third appearance on the show. The Dave Clark Five went on to appear 18 more times on the Sullivan program.

Maybe that's why you're listening to them tonight or is it just a coincidence?

But seriously, this was the beginning of The British Invasion. WMCA AM held phone-in polls for the best British group. The choices were The Beatles, The Dave Clark Five and The Rolling Stones.
