A young Cab Calloway singing it...

Heh. I didn't notice this until now. Sometimes I just post and run.

Yea, Cab was a helluva entertainer. Sophisticated - although also sometimes silly - stuff for its time.

Your Youtube versions are the same as what I got, I think. I've got this collection...

Track list:

Disc: 1

1. Nobody's Sweetheart
2. St. James Infirmary
3. Some of These Days
4. Gotta Darn Good Reason
5. Bugle Call Rag
6. You Rascal, You
7. Corrine, Corrina
8. You Dog
9. Downhearted Blues
10. The Scat Song
11. Hot Toddy
12. How Come You Do Me Like You Do?
13. Doin' the New Low Down
14. Old Yazoo
15. Minnie the Moocher
16. My Sunday Gal
17. Hot Water
18. Wah-Dee-Dah

Disc: 2
1. 'Long About Midnight
2. Jitter Bug
3. Chinese Rhythm
4. When You're Smiling
5. Weakness
6. Don't Know If I'm Comin' or Goin'
7. (Hep-Hep!) The Jumpin' Jive
8. I Don't Stand a Ghost of a Chance With You
9. Do It Again
10. Lonesome Nights
11. Paradiddle
12. Hot Air
13. Ebony Silhouette
14. Hep Cat's Love Song
15. Willow Weep for Me
16. Are You All Reet?
17. A Smo-o-oth One
18. Let's Go Joe

Great set. And yes, it was wonderful that he was included in The Blues Brothers' movie. A classy move and a real highlight in the film.

Yeah, Cab Calloway was a great entertainer.  I really like that scene in The Cotton Club portraying him as a young man...

"Songe d'Automne," one of the songs (along with "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Autumn") alleged to have been the last one played on the Titanic. I've been a Titanic buff for more than a dozen years but never bothered to track it down before. It's so beautiful and haunting!
