He didn't want to tour anymore like when they made the octave album.
Yes insulting Graham wasn't a great idea. He has apologised for it publicly.

He has. He seems a decent guy from what I’ve seen in interviews. And his insulting Graeme was just one of those hot blooded spur of the moment brain blips that will happen with people who work together for a long time.

That’s a lovely song Nim. BJH always reminded me a bit of the Moodies but I’ve never listened to them to intently. It’s inspired a bit from the Beatles too building from what is a nice folky number to a big orchestral climax.

Interesting they recorded with a full orchestra a la Days of Future Past. Shows record companies in the early 70s were pretty free with their budgets considering they weren’t a huge selling act.

I also see Norman (Hurricane) Smith was their producer. Must have learnt a bit from George Martin in recording with orchestras.

...and I enjoyed it! They sort of pick up where The Beatles left off in 1970.

Ricky Fataar is one of the band members. We saw him as Stig O'Hara of The Rutles (analogous to George Harrison)...

So there is indeed a very strong musical connection.
