I kid you not Hombre_de_ningun_lugar! The Isle of Fehmarn 1970 was violent and horrible! After Hendrix left the stage, a gang drove a truck backstage and began threatening artists, their support personnel and festival security officers. Hendrix's road crew BARELY got their gear carted away safely. Fights engaged, attempts to steal equipment and money ensued, and soon the festival grounds converged into REAL chaos. Some of the remaining "Rockers" set fire to the promoters headquarters, a box office and had even burnt down a portion of the stage. The stage fire had been extinguished but the damage had been done. According to drummer Mitch Mitchell, one Hendrix roadie suffered a leg wound from a gunshot. TEN YEARS AFTER, as well as other artists, cancelled their performances at the Isle of Fehmarn when word got around about the gunshots and violence that erupted at the festival. IT WAS REAL BAD! Read about it when you get a chance Hombre_de_ningun_lugar, you have to read it to believe it. The live performances at the Isle of Fehmarn Festival were never professionally recorded but years later, Dagger Records (Owned by Jimi's half-sister Janie Hendrix) would release the best sound quality possible of Jimi's live performance at the Isle of Fehmarn on 6 September 1970 on CD in 2005. The Matrix ID number is CATF-05186-2. The fights and violence during Jimi's performance is clearly evident on the recording. Take care.

Thanks for the info BeatlesForever, it seems that all the peace and love feeling of the 60's were already gone...

Have a great time.

ha2ha  ha2ha  ha2ha I don't think so either! I love Sonny & Cher so much, there will NEVER be another Sonny & Cher! I love the video from youtube that you posted. Will you please post the Sonny & Cher reunion on The David Letterman Show on 13 November 1987? When I saw the show that night, I cried when Sonny & Cher sang "I Got You Babe" on stage for one last time. That was a very special moment in Rock n' Roll history. Take care.

You're very welcome Hombre_de_ningun_lugar! Other than Altamont 1969, The Isle Of Wight and The Isle Of Fehmarn would be some of the main reasons why there would be no more festivals for many years. Take care.

Hi fellow Beatles fanatics! I've been watching two videos on youtube! One is Sonny & Cher's final reunion together on the David Letterman show on 13 November 1987. It was not planned but Letterman talked Sonny & Cher into singing one song and it would be "I Got You Babe." It was a VERY moving moment.

The other is "The Memory Remains" by Metallica. Marianne Faithful sings some background vocals in this song. I LOVE IT!

Here's a trivia for everyone, who is Carrie Ann in the song "Carrie Ann" by The Hollies? Take care everyone.

Not sure if you still wanted this posted but here it is. Wish there were a better quality clip on YouTube. I'll bet Cher is so glad she did this.

Hi In My Life! How are you? Yes I Do! THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this special moment in Rock n' Roll history! I hope that everyone views this SONNY & CHER reunion on The David Letterman Show, it would be their last time together. They would sing "I Got You Babe" for one last time. I get choked up everytime I watch this just like I did when I saw it live on the night of 13 November 1987. I agree with you In My Life, I bet that Cher is now glad that she sang with Sonny for one last time. R.I.P. Salvatore Phillip Bono (Sonny Bono), Born 16 February 1935, Died 5 January 1998 at age 62. Take care.
