I have seen both of these videos dozens of times,

So you have the Dick Cavett Rock Icons DVD, huh? It's sitting here waiting for me to watch it. Someone at our library had it brought in and I put myself on the list as soon as I saw it. I absolutely love the George Harrison interview but I'm sure it will all be great to watch.

Indeed. I did see some of her outfits at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They still gave off an energy, just like the Beatles stuff I saw. I just wish she was still here to wear them. I remember when she died. I wasn't very old but like you I got into this kind of music young...kind of by osmosis from my older siblings. I would have liked to have seen where her talent would have led her over a normal lifetime.

From 1966 to 1970, JANIS gave us a lifetime's worth of music. JANIS left this world too soon, while she was still in her prime.

I own them! Dear, I own well over 5000 CD's, over a thousand DVD's and hundreds and hundreds of VHS tapes and Vinyl/LP's. I can count them all but it would take me a very long time. I am a big massive music collector.

I have NEVER seen or heard JANIS holding back, I don't think she knew how. JANIS is so rare, you don't see her kind anymore.

Does your school teach 60's and 70's music in school? I bet that ABBA is like Rock Royalty in Sweden, their musical accomplishments and achievements worldwide can never be denied.

Actually, it's considered "lame" to listen to ABBA here  ha2ha I have no idea why, they were fantastic!

I think a lot of things, especially music, would be very different if she'd been alive today, same with Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, and many others. It's so sad that they had to die at such a young age. We can only imagine what they would have done had they lived longer.

That interview is great, George had a wonderful sense of humor  ha2ha

I wish I was kidding! Maybe it has something to do with those outfits they wore...still, Sweden should be proud over a band like ABBA!  ha2ha

I wonder if it was always that way? Back in 1976 I got to meet some relatives from Sweden. Later I wrote to the older girl and among other things asked her if she liked ABBA. I never heard back. LOL Of course that was probably because she was 19 and I was an annoying 13 year old.  ;D

I've seen it on YouTube and it was that interview that made me really get into George.

I don't think any Swedish band has been bigger than ABBA...Roxette might come close but other than that ABBA is still the biggest.

Haha! That's a pretty strong reaction if it was because of ABBA ha2ha

That's really something Applescruffy96, ABBA was big worldwide, but not big in Sweden, their own homeland.
