It was Peter Green that named the band FLEETWOOD MAC after Mick Fleetwood and John McVie!

Yes, John McVie was the bass player, he never sang at all except maybe a little background vocals.

The McVie's had their moments too. During the Rumours album, John had a few flings with women while in the late 1970's, Christine McVie would have a so-called passionate love affair with my late great friend, Dennis Wilson of THE BEACH BOYS. I met FLEETWOOD MAC through Denny in 1982, that is a long story in itself.

Making the Rumours album should have been the greatest moments in the band's career. Instead, because of all of the fighting and break-up's within the band, it would turn out to be the worst moments in the band's career. How sad.
