We didn't get regular TOTP broadcasts here in the United States. PBS ran a few of the programs. We got to see a few more when the BBC channel became available.

The 60s and 70s music and dance shows were certainly geared for boys, Kathleen. There's a good chance that if you took one of those girls and tried to carry on a meaningful conversation with her, you would get nowhere. I experienced that once. Like Kev would say, "If brains were dynamite, she wouldn't have enough to blow her nose."
