Love Me Do with harmonica.

Emerick (in his book Here There And Everywhere) and Lewisohn (in Chronicles) seem to say that the harmonica was used for the first time in Love Me Do on 4th September 62 and it was George Martin who suggested it on that day.
But on the Anthology 1 CD, I can hear the 6th June 62 version where there's already harmonica!
Can anybody explain this anomaly?

Lennon didn't drop a backing vocal, he dropped the MAIN vocal, so Paul nervously had to fill in.
This took place on 6th June.
Lewisohn realised this when the Anthology version came to light, but Emerick stupidly tries to pretend he was present at something he never saw or heard.
