If I had to pick one from Chicago that I thought was sort of beautiful, it would be Baby What a Big Surprise, I've Been Searchin' So Long, Wishing You Were Here or Stronger Everyday. Or very old: Colour Of My World. Why'd they spell it with the U though?

If no one has mentioned it already, I would like to add "Falling" by Leblanc and Carr -- an even better "Here, There, And Everywhere"- type track.  And "Kissing A Fool" by George Michael is the best pre-rock-era-style recording I have ever heard.

My alltime favorite track recorded by a female vocalist is "Goin' Back" by the late great Dusty Springfield (song written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin).  There are too many beautiful vocals by Karen Carpenter to list.  (Lennon once stopped her in LA to complement her singing, so he must have liked her Beatles covers, which, surprisingly, all his compositions rather than Paul's -- "Ticket to Ride," "Help!," and the posthumously released "Good Night" and "Nowhere Man.")

My favorite straight "MOR" track is "Just You And I" by Melissa Manchester.

If you are looking for this kind of thing, i really think Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers is beautiful. But that may be just me.

I love that song! It does belong on a mix like this, in my opinion as well. :)
