Ringo Starr, 82, cancels concerts after suddenly falling ill
« on: October 03, 2022, 04:32:16 PM »

Ringo's diagnosis has not been confirmed but it is thought that the mystery illness is affecting his voice
Ringo Starr and his band, All-Starr, were forced to cancel two concerts after the drummer fell ill. The group were due to perform in New Buffalo, Michigan, on Saturday just a couple of hours after the cancellation was announced and then again in Minnesota on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the band has said that the 82-year-old's illness is not related to Covid-19 but they did not confirm his diagnosis. His mystery illness has affected his voice
The band were also due to perform on Sunday night in Prior Lake, Minnesota, but the venue announced that the show would be cancelled in a statement online.
Mystic Lake Casino tweeted: "Ringo is sick and was hoping to be able to perform, hence the late notice, but it has affected his voice,” Mystic said on its website. β€œHe and the band send peace and love to all the fans who were planning to come out and see the show. A rescheduled date will be announced in the future.”
Ringo celebrated his 82nd birthday in early July and held his annual Peace and Love party. He has had a busy year as he and his band finished the first part of their Spring Tour 2022 at the end of June in Florida.

The latest report here in the United States is that initially Ringo tested negative for COVID-19.  On retesting, he tested positive.

This is most likely COVID-19 Rebound and not an indication of an impaired immune system.  Ringo will be fine.
