Back on topic:

I've been listening to some of the songs Paul composed during the studio years and when he's playing the piano, the bass part is awesome too ... he concentrated on both a lot ... and tho his piano songs are usualley more mellowdic and "mature" and with better arrangements, the strength is lost so dramaticalley  :-/ ...

I miss that on some of his last songs with the group ... even Get Back sound a b(ea)t soft compare to I'm Down, I Saw Her Standing There or Can't Buy Me Love  :-/ ...

Melodic.

ah it was misspelled!

i think paul was a better bassplayer than pianoman... he only wrote lullabies on the piano, didn't he? he rocked as a baseman.

Lady Madonna and Live And Let Die (You Never GiveMe Your Money could be another) are some of the few exceptions, right ... when he played rock numbers he used to play easylines on the bass ... and that surely helps a b(ea)t  :)

He tends to do interesting movements when he plays on the bass (Eg. The Night Before).

When he plays the piano, all the focus seems to be more on him (and he's more comfortable* and besides P is for paino)

But yeah, he rocks on either instrument, imho, but i prefer his piano playing abilities.

Does he tend to do more piano in his solo years?

Paul was a great bass player and a decent piano player but I think that I like his piano songs more. Now he's playing more piano songs because it's easire I think. If not he has to compose on the guitar and learn the bass later.

Some great contributions here to the topic but only from some certain people, as Raxo said.

No very topic related I think but I am seeing that you use to make these points a lot and never add anything useful to the forum, anyway.I introduced myself in the past in the Meet and greet topic. My name is Sebastian and yours?
