were the demos brian hawked to the record companies ever duplicated on a bootleg anywheres? the songs included i lost my little girl, looking glass, thinking of linking, the years roll along, winstons walk, keep looking that wat and catswalk. i know catswalk was given to the chris barber band and called cat call and a so so version of thinking of linking is on anthology. but i mean the clean sounding(?)brian demos.

 This is news to me if they havent been bootlegged yet then there is not much chance in finding them. I suggest more people look in their attics.

I always thought that Brian took the recordings they had made at Decca with him?

You took the words out of my mouth. He had no demo's before that, and used the Decca audition acetate.

Found this in Lewisohn's chronicle:

[...]Barrow's reply was not discouraging and Epstein travelled to London to meet him. But when they met, and Epstein played Barrow a crudely-recorded, scratchy acetate of the Beatles playing in the Cavern Club Barrow was visibly unimpressed.

So there were recordings. Never heard of them since tho. They're either in Paul McCartney's cupboard or disappeared in the years.

There must be masess of stuff in somebody's cupboard; rehearsals etc. that we'll never get to hear.
