11. Let It Be (***)
I've always thought "Let It Be" was to Beatles what "The Final Cut" was to Pink Floyd. Good individual songs with wonderful lyrics, but bad because of the tensions in the studio at the time.Also, just like Waters, it seems that McCartney was the only one really working hard on this one. So you either like it or hate it. If you listen to the album without thinking of it's history, just enjoying the songs for what they are, you will probably like it.But if you're thinking about the Let It Be sessions as "the last straw that contributed to the Beatles' break up" you will probably find the record pretty bitter.
