Curious about other artists making nods to the Beatles.  References to them or the lyrics.

I can think of "All the young Dudes" by Mott the Hoople:
"And my brother's back at home with his Beatles and his Stones
We never got it off on that revolution stuff
What a drag
Too many snags"

Does Young American by Bowie have a reference or nod to A Day In The Life ?  The words aren't exactly right but it almost seems it:
"You ain't a pimp and you ain't a hustler
A pimp's got a Cadi and a lady got a Chrysler
Black's got respect, and white's got his soul train
Mama's got cramps, and look at your hands ache
(I heard the news today, oh boy)"

Can't help thinking that the 'too many snags' line is far more pertinent in London c. 2015 when
assessing the slavish devotion/cul-de-sac of worshipping Bowie!

I always mistook the opening lyrics from the Stones "Street Fighting Man" with: Ev'rywhere I hear the sound of Martin, George & Beat boys!

When in fact, they say: Ev'rywhere I hear the sound of marching, charging feet, boy  roll:)
