nimrod: I can't imagine spending 33 years with someone. My longest relationship was under 3 years. Ever since, I tried again but I just couldn't hook up with anybody. Actually, I did but broke that off. It's better I did for her sake cause she needed a man who was fully on board for her and I really wasn't that man. And, surprise, after our breakup, she got pregnant by another guy. Had I stayed, that would've been my kid. So, just think, there's a kid in Heaven who never got a chance to be Loco Mo's son or daughter. I apologize to you, my unborn child!
Besides, I think I'm better off alone with meself! No, it's not the best situation because if I were not me I couldn't imagine living with someone like me.
I don't know if I should envy you or not, nimrod, but I guess I do. I think everybody does because how many people get to have good quality long-term relationship? I feel like there's many people who walk or run away (even sprint) at the first sign of trouble in a relationship. By golly, I've known some belles dames like that! Maybe they'd accuse me of being the cop-out. Who knows, maybe I'm too biased to know.
Anyway, I think you should eat 33 pieces of cake to celebrate each golden year of wedded bliss and contentment. That's certainly what I would do were I in your "blessed shoes."
