I've been told today that the company I work for is in such deep financial trouble that my position will be liquidated. They gave me a pretty reasonable offer though if I go voluntarily (I have a permanent contract so they can't just fire me).

Don't you just hate technology?!  I've always been a really old-school gamer and never had any console newer than a GameCube!  But when Beatles Rock Band came out, I thought "screw it, I'm getting an Xbox".  I love the game, but because I live at university and my Xbox is at home, I've literally played on it about 10 times or less.  I came home to play on it this time, and BAM!  It won't turn on.  Turns out it's completely broken and I need a new one.  After 10 bloody times!  And not only that, but the next morning, a new Xbox game I'd JUST ordered came in the post, just to rub it in my face.   >:(

Ohh, business trip, have fun! I like traveling but I hate the process of traveling--flying, packing, unpacking, dealing with iffy lodgings, etc. Enjoy yourself, though!
