For the past 15 years, I've been writing hardcore/punk songs as well as pop/singer-songwriter songs. I've been in six hardcore and punk bands ever since so I've had more than enough outlets for the heavy songs, but I never had an outlet for my pop songs. Today I approached two of the most talented musicians I know (a multi-instrumentalist/producer and a female singer with a gorgeous voice) and they both agreed to work with me. We're probably going to start recording this Saturday. Needless to say I'm excited as hell.

..... soo much work..... and it's not as if I can keep working on it at home at nights, coz I kinda need the client and their documents... don't think I'll finish what's been allocated to me by the end of this week, darnit :(

It's typical; I'm fine most of the time, but right when we're about to go on holiday abroad, my body suddenly decides it'd quite fancy having a very unnecessary overreaction to an Indian takeaway...  I've been in the bathroom since 10pm YESTERDAY.  And I'm supposed to get on a plane and go on holiday in two days.  Well done, stomach.  I swear to god...
It sprung from my mum really - always blame someone else!  She loves Indian food, and I've never liked it, but when I thought about it, it's probably because I've only ever experienced Indian food from crappy takeaways.  So my mum suggests I should have something from the best takeaway in town, because "it's the best Indian food I've ever had in my life" and all that.  So I thought why not?  I do wish I enjoyed Indian food, because it always looks nice, and I wanted to conquer my difficulty with it because I really want to go to India, and wouldn't want to go there not being able to tolerate the cuisine.  I didn't wanna be like Ringo!   ha2ha
So I had a nice Pasanda...  and I wish I never had.  I seriously never wanna see a bathroom again.  This'd better not still be happening when it's holiday time!  That's the unfortunate thing me and Ringo have in common; we both have huge difficulties handling certain foods, and anything we can't handle provokes a big reaction.  Looks like India's quite literally gone down the pan for me then...  :(

Had an eight hour recording session today, I recorded the guitars and bass for the first three of the four songs we're going to do. Came out sounding even cooler than I hoped. It's quite a diverse mix: one is groovy rock song, one is an acoustic baroque/folk song and I have no clue how the third song is going to sound. The guy who's producing the songs said he had some cool ideas for it, so I gave him carte blance to add whatever he wants to my guitar and bass parts. I hope the music will be finished within a month or so and then we'll do the vocals.
