Most people are proud of the things that they've personally achieved and things that they worked really hard for. Racists are proud of the way they were born. That's pretty weak and pathetic if you think of it.

I remember getting a kick and a huge boost of selfconfidence by travelling alone for month in Australia.

I'd love to do something like that and I wouldn't hesitate if I'd get the chance. But I can't afford it, and taking a month off from work is currently not an option.

Honestly, I don't think you even have to go as far as a different country, even being in a different city - at least for me - has done the same thing!  Because of that I now know the downtown cores of two of Canada's biggest cities.  It's just a good escape, even if just for a day.

Downtown where I live is amazing... it's like eastern europe with a 70's hippe flare to it. Lots of interesting shops and places to eat and several street bands, farmer's markets, and more.  :)

Hey everyone! Guess where I am? FLORIDA! I have been here since Sunday and every day has been sunny and beautiful! I am loving it. (If you didn't know, I'm from Minnesota.) Today we went to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and saw Winter the Dolphin, who they're making a movie about. It was PACKED with people, and I got some awesome photos I will post when I get home, I don't have my camera cord with me. I also got some good photos just of the ocean and such I will show later.
