Thanks Kathy, Barry and Kev. He's got a serious infection in one of his toes but we're starting to see a bit of improvement. The vets think he has an autoimmune disorder that affects the nails. He's such a sweet boy; I hate to see him hurting.

Autoimmune diseases are a wide assortment of disorders with a common pathogenesis.  Current research focuses on this.  When I was in school, we were just beginning to understand this basis.

Yes, Kathleen, from Salem, Missouri those are The Dillards, a bluegrass band that appeared occasionally on The Andy Griffith Show as The Darlings.

Ohhh...thank you, Barry! I've never heard of the Dillards; I'll have to look them up. I lived in Missouri for three years, but I've never heard of Salem; I'll have to look that up, too.  :)

Eww! But I guess he was kinda on the spot. But they'd fit in real good here with them rolled up pants. The creeks done rised and we've got ourselves a regular lake in the back yard!
