Props for Tomorrow Never Knows (the first time I ever played this song for my parents they looked as if the world were coming to and end), but gotta pick A Day In The Life which in my mind is the best song ever recorded.

I was gonna post something about A Day in the Life, but I looked back at page 2 and saw I already did. It's been so long I nearly forgot. Anyway, A Day in the Life is the greatest closer followed closely by the Abbey Road closer. Both make me shake my head in awe at their amazing genius.

I don't really see the appeal behind Good Night. If the point was to put me to sleep, then, well, they succeeded.

I kinda like how its a sleepy song at the end of a long album i usually listen to this song right before i go to sleep

Tomorrow Never Knows. It's so trippy. The first time I heard it, I was left knocked out like for an hour. It takes you to places.

I chose A Day in the Life also. My 3rd favorite Beatles song, behind In My Life, and Norweigan Wood.

This is a quote from Q about Tomorrow Never Knows which I think is particularly neat:
"Evocative moment: 0.00-0.13. George Harrison tunes a sitar, Ringo Starr bangs a drum, Paul McCartney's laughter is backward-looped into a seagull cry, John Lennon sings "Turn off your mind, relax and float downstream." Two and three quarter minutes later the entire world says, "what the F**CK was that?"

Gosh, what a hard poll question to decide from.

ALL of the possible choices are excellent album closers.  Twist and Shout features one of the best rock and roll vocals and an excellent cover version of the song.

Tomorrow Never Knows is psychedelic music at it's best.  A Day In The Life is the Beatles at their best, and Get Back is a fantastic song by Paul McCartney and is the last song that they ever did live as a group.

But I did go with the medley that finished off Abbey Road since it's the end of their last album that they recorded together, and it was a fantastic way to go out.  And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.  The Beatles were all about peace and love and their message carries on today.

Her Majesty...lol,I know this song does not count, but it sure gives me a jolt when it pops up at the end,of  "The End" of  Abbey Road...lol

Ok I'm being silly,I could have went with the .eki.hasloc,gi,mofojsi googali,or something like that at the end of Pepper,oh yeah the dog whistle does seems to affect the next door neighbors dog...lol

Serious now,the last part of Abbey Road, and A Day in a life are equal in my eyes.

I would say either the second side of Abbey Road... (amazing), or 'Get Back' from Let it Be.

I went with Golden Slumbers medley although it was a very hard choice between that and A Day In The Life.

A Day In The Life.  Sustained chord, creaking chair and "Never Do See Any Other Way" lock groove!

I didn't vote for Run for Your Life.  And I know John dissed the song, but I had a dream that I was singing it in a club--some kinda cowboy bar--and it felt pretty cool.

Even the Beatles "throwaways" at this time were pretty damn good.  Nice guitar work by George too.

It is interesting how John has the closer on so many albums:
Please Please Me--Twist and Shout
With the Beatles--Money
Hard Day's Night--I'll Be Back (lots of harmony on this one)
Beatles for Sale--Everybody's Trying to be My Baby (George)
Help!--Dizzy Miss Lizzy
Rubber Soul--Run for Your Life
Revolver--Tomorrow Never Knows
Sgt Pepper--A Day in the Life
White Album--Goodnight (Ringo, though written by John)
Yellow Submarine--Yellow Submarine in Pepperland (Geo. Martin)--Beatles music on Side A ends with All You Need is Love
Abbey Road--The End medley (Paul)
Let It Be--Get Back (Paul)

I won't get into the EPs although Magical Mystery Tour ends with Blue Jay Way (George).

So John got a lot of closers.
