No, Barry, I've seen several of Hitchcock's films, but not
Saboteur. I'll add it to my watchlist.
I have heard there were rumors at the time that the fire on
Normandie was caused by sabotage.
She came to such an ignominious end; it makes me genuinely sad. It's not even like she sank mostly intact, like the
Titanic, or was able to have some of her gorgeous interiors salvaged, as with the
Olympic, or even was accessible to divers seeking smaller items, as with the
Andrea Doria. (Well, the
Andrea Doria's not really accessible to divers, but that's a topic for a different forum.)
She was just flat-out ruined by the fire and then by sitting on the bottom of the Hudson.
