Capitol Albums Volume 2
« on: September 13, 2005, 12:05:54 AM »

Apparantly Apple does not have the Second volume on the docket for the rest of this year or 2006.  I read that most of their energies have been focused on the 'Bangladesh' project and the Cirque du Soleil Vegas extravaganza. Anyone with bets on the "Let it Be" DVD might want to fold as well.

I think the Cirque du Soleil Vegas project is the biggest waste of time in Apple's history!!! Who wants to see a bunch of people, in unfathomable costumes, dangling by a lump of rope from the ceiling, to the strains of Mr Kite?!!!

BORING!

Have you ever seen Le Cirque du Soleil? Most likely not, from the way you describe it. Give it a chance...
Besides, if they have made up their mind doing it, they will.. whether we like it or not, and whether we whine about it or not

Really not my cup of tea I'm afraid - but I will exercise my right to whine, thanks! :)

Monumental waste of time and $100+ million. I think they need someone (I volunteer) to be the 21st Century Allen Klein and clean Apple's house. Their priorities need to be 'corrected'.

You might not consider it a waste of money if you had money invested in it... They'll make tons more back, for sure...

Don't get me wrong, I want that set, too...I posted a thread about it a couple of weeks ago...
Unless there is a HUGE number of us calling them, emailing them, doing some sort of action to let them know we want it, they won't do anything...
You don't think they look in this forum to find out what to release and not to release? What shows to do and not to do?
I don't think so...

I wish they had separate divisions working on separate projects.. one of which being the Vol. 2... another one on the Let It Be DVD... and one more for their show...

Are they putting all their eggs in the same basket?
Not economically wise...

I also wouldn't consider it a waste if I owned the casino, but since neither of that applies, I'd be happy with some unreleased material that has been collecting dust for some 153 years now. I could probably buy 10 or so Anthology 4's for the cost of one ticket to some cheesy extravaganza doing whatever they do to Beatles' songs, and I'd enjoy it longer.
