It's really not fair
« on: November 05, 2019, 02:04:06 AM »

Why are Paul and Ringo getting to enjoy all the Beatles remixes and rediscoveries and spotlights in the news media and in the entertainment world while John and George got ripped off by early deaths through homicide and cancer?

I just don't understand this.  It makes me very mad!!

So why has the Universe or God smiled on Paul and Ringo like this but not on John and George?

Well, I suppose there's no answer and I hate thinking about this.  I don't think about it all the time but sometimes I do.

It's just sad and sickening.

Perhaps God does smile on John and George, Loco, even to this day.

Would it have been better if it was Paul and Ringo that met their fate?

There's no answers as to why things happen.  I refuse to dwell on things we have no power over of.

I agree. God has his reasons for everything and it's not really up to us to understand.

Sorry, I was just expressing how I feel.  I know there's no rhyme or reason to it all.  If there is, well, I just can't imagine it (referencing Normandie's comment here).

Thanks, Hello Goodbye.  I was touched by your comment.

Sorry, I was just expressing how I feel.

There's no need to apologize for expressing how you feel, Loco.  :)  I apologize if my comment came across as critical.

Normandie:  You did not come across as critical at all.  I appreciated your comment:  "God has his reasons for everything and it's not really up to us to understand."  That's the quotation I was referring to of yours that I have trouble imagining as being true.  It stems from a lack of faith.  We live in a very secular world nowadays which means many people don't accept any kind of conception of God or of spiritual entities.

I greatly appreciate your thoughts!  Thank you.
